Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil overcame a back problem to appear for Germany in their World Cup qualifying win over Azerbaijan.

Ozil came on as a second-half substitute in the 4-1 win, ahead of the Gunners crucial Premier League clash with Manchester City live on Sky Sports 1 HD next weekend.

The midfielder had missed the midweek friendly win over England and continued to present a doubt after missing Friday's training session with back complaints.
