The Premier League pair will be key performers for their country at opposite ends of the field in Brazil.
Manchester City striker Dzeko will be looking to provide a cutting edge - fresh from his two-goal showing against the Ivory Coast on Saturday - while Stoke City goalkeeper Begovic offers a reliable last line of defence.
Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic will also be asked to inspire those around him, with reports suggesting that a number of top clubs will be keeping a close eye on his efforts.
Bayer Leverkusen's Emir Spahic is the man chosen to skipper the side, and he will lead Bosnia into Group F combat against Argentina, Nigeria and Iran.
