There are still a couple of months of the season left but Europe's biggest clubs are already plotting their summer moves with a World Cup to negotiate around.

Spain

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has hinted that he wants Neymar to join him at the Bernabeu next season. When asked about Germany's upcoming friendly with Brazil on Tuesday, he said: "I would have preferred that Neymar was ready to play, I hope he recovers from his injury soon. Neymar is one of the best, and I like to play with the best." (AS)

Spain U21 midfielder Dani Ceballos was unhappy with the conditions during their Euro 2019 qualifying match against Northern Ireland at Shamrock Park. The Real Madrid man said: "We can't play on pitches like this. There was only mud, there wasn't grass. It was practically impossible to play. It was zero degrees and we had to shower with cold water." (Cadena Cope)

Gremio midfielder Arthur, who will join Barcelona in the summer, says he turned down proposals from elsewhere to play for the La Liga leaders. "There was a moment when there were many important offers on the table, but I chose Barca," he said. "I wanted to play in this team because of its style and what it stands for. I'm really looking forward to getting started and enjoying playing there. I've been told great things about the club and the city, it's like a dream." (Sport)

With Rodri set to leave for Atletico Madrid in the summer, Villarreal have identified Genk midfielder Sander Berge, once subject of Arsenal and Liverpool transfer rumours, as the man to replace him. Roma's Maxime Gonalons was also considered, but the Norwegian is top of the their wishlist. (Marca)

Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Omar Mascarell has admitted he'd love a return to Real Madrid. "It's something that's been talked about a lot in recent times," he said. "I know that my agent is in contact with Real Madrid and there's been dialogue between both parties. But there are still two months of the season left, and I need to be focused on Frankfurt. What I can say though is that I have a soft spot for Madrid, they're my team, it's where I learnt to play football and for me, Madrid will always be the number one option." (AS)

Anderson Talisca, who's been the subject of Liverpool and Manchester United transfer rumours, could be set to join Besiktas permanently. He's currently on loan at the Turkish club from Benfica. They have an option to buy him for €21 million (£18.37m) from the Portuguese side, who have told Talisca that they want him to join Besiktas and will not entertain other offers. (O Jogo)

Sporting Lisbon striker Rafael Leao, who's been linked with Tottenham and Manchester City, will not be sold in the summer. The Portuguese side want to keep hold of him for the next two years. (Record)

The agent of Mario Rui and Elseid Hysaj appears to have put the Napoli full-backs in the shop window. "They're doing well. They're both starters, they've made themselves available to the team and they're playing at the level demanded by the team," he said. "They're happy to stay in Naples, but we'll think about the market in June. Of course, anything can happen. St Pauli defender Lasse Sobiech will join Cologne at the end of the season when his contract runs out, whether or not the 17th-placed team in the Bundesliga stay up. (Kicker)
