Midfielder set for three-year contract with the Trotters
Sky Sports understands that Bolton have won the race to sign Colombia international Carlos Sanchez on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old has been courted by numerous European clubs, including Reading and Bolton, since leaving French outfit Valenciennes.
However, the Trotters look poised to land the ball-winning midfielder subject to Sanchez being granted a work permit.
Sanchez, nicknamed "The Rock", is seen as an ideal replacement for the outgoing Nigel Reo-Coker as Bolton build for life in the Championship this season.
The midfielder is set to sign a three-year contract with the Lancashire outfit, but the Colombian's desire to play in the Premier League could be reflected by the inclusion of certain clauses.
