Aldershot have completed the signing of former midfielder Scott Donnelly on a short-term deal with a view to maybe extending it.

Donnelly's arrival has been funded through the Player Share Scheme Fund and chief executive Richard Low said: "We couldn't have signed Scott without the Player Share Scheme. They have funded the agreement fully and we are so appreciative to the committee of Player Share and all the supporters that have backed it. "This is an important signing or us and it is comforting that the supporters can see that the Player Share Fund is being used in exactly the way that it should be by supporting the playing squad." Manager Dean Holdsworth added: "Scott provides us with an attacking option that we need in the squad and provides a healthy competition for places. This is a good signing for us and I am really looking forward to working with him." The 24-year-old made 86 appearances during his previous spell scoring 20 goals before moving on to Swansea and Wycombe.
