Carver heads to non-league

Accrington have again let Marcus Carver move out on loan with the young striker joining Barrow on a one-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old has played eight teams for Stanley this season, scoring once, while he also spent time on loan with Halifax earlier in the campaign. However, with veteran forward Danny Webber now fully back to fitness, Stanley boss James Beattie feels Carver will once more benefit from a loan spell away from the Crown Ground. "It's a great opportunity for him to gain some experience and fitness to give him the chance to come back and stake a claim for a first-team place," Beattie told the club's official website. "It would be unfair for us to rely on Marcus at the moment because he is such a young lad and hasn't got lots of experience but there's loads of potential there and he has lots of the attributes that I had as a young player. "Marcus is wanted there, he'll train with us as normal during the week and then go to Barrow and play rather than having nothing to build up to at the end of the week."
