Conor Hourihane, who captained Plymouth to Football League safety last season, has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

The 22-year-old midfielder's deal was set to expire this summer but he has committed his future to John Sheridan's men ahead of the new League Two campaign. "I am delighted and already looking forward to next season," he told the club's official website. "I hope we can kick on after last season and be competing at the other end of the table. Everyone at the club deserves that after the troubles of the past few years, especially the fans." Under his leadership Argyle won seven and drew four matches out of 19, claiming 25 vital points.
