Daggers already look sharp

Dagenham & Redbridge started their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 win at non-league Boreham Wood on Tuesday night.

Summer signing Medy Elito opened the scoring for the Daggers after 14 minutes before Gavin Tomlin doubled their advantage just before the half-hour mark. Goalkeeper Chris Lewington was the only man to play the entire 90 minutes against the Blue Square Bet South side, with manager John Still opting to rotate his 10 outfield players at the interval. Meanwhile, Still is expected to this week complete a move for Chelmsford striker Rob Edmans after the two clubs agreed a fee. He told the Barking and Dagenham Post: "Hopefully it can be tied up in the next few days. It's just a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's."
