Burnett eyes striker signings

Dagenham boss Wayne Burnett has revealed he is still trying to bring in attacking reinforcements.

Trialist Christian Doidge did his chances of securing a full-time contract no harm when heading home from close range in the weekend loss to a Tottenham XI and Burnett is keen to bolster his options in that department. "He's impressed me," said Burnett on the Daggers' official website. "He's only 21, but he's got a really good work ethic and he's come in and done really well. "I am really excited about the start of the season. We are almost there in terms of players, but we still maybe are looking to bring in a couple more in attacking positions, which we are going to work really hard to do this week. The loan market might be needed if we can't get the ones we are going after at the moment. "We are ready, fit and strong to start the season and it's going to be another tough one. Hopefully we can surprise a few people this season."
