Morecambe have signed former Burnley defender Luke Conlan on a two-year deal.

The Northern Ireland U21 international, who had two spells on loan with the Shrimps last season, was recently released by Burnley.

"Luke came in on loan last season and put in some strong performances," Morecambe boss Jim Bentley told the club's official website.

"He's young, got plenty of potential and will only get better the more he plays and adapts to football at League Two level."

Conlan made 14 appearances in total for Morecambe last season after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at Scottish Championship side St Mirren.
