Crewe have been boosted by the news that they may have three first-team squad members back in contention this weekend.

Adam Dugdale (suspension), AJ Leitch-Smith and Byron Moore (both ankle) all missed the 2-0 victory over Accrington, but could return against AFC Wimbledon. Manager Steve Davis is looking forward to welcoming the trio back to the squad, especially with the flurry of games ahead. "Duggy is fine now he has served his three games. Byron has a great chance of being fit for Saturday, as does AJ," Davis told the club's official website. "It will be good to welcome those players back, because we will need them with a lot of games coming up." However, Alex are still sweating on the fitness of on-loan James Tunnicliffe who has returned to parent club Wycombe for a scan on his injured shoulder. "Wycombe have insisted he [Tunnicliffe] go back down there, but that is fine because he is their player," Davis said. "He will go for an MRI scan to see if there is any damage to the bone but will be back on Thursday because he wants to do his rehabilitation with us."
