Steve Evans has continued to shake-up his Rotherham squad by releasing Marcus Marshall and Ollie Banks.

Winger Marshall, who has recently been on loan at Macclesfield, joined from Blackburn in 2010 while 19-year-old midfielder Banks, who has been on loan at Stalybridge Celtic, made his way through the youth ranks at the club and neither have featured heavily this season. Evans said on 22-year-old Marshall's departure: "There may be some fans asking why, but he hasn't had a lot of game time. The supporters have to trust us on who we are going to bring in. "He is a young man who has conducted himself great this week, but we've made our decision and he moves on with our best wishes." The duo join Richard Naylor on their way out of Don Valley after the veteran defender was released earlier this week. Evans has also made further inroads into his squad by sending loaness Sam Wood, Kieron Cadogan and Scott Griffiths back to their parent clubs a week early.
