Shrimps quartet pen new deals

Morecambe goalkeeper Andreas Arestidou has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract at the club.

The young 'keeper played second fiddle to regular stopper Barry Roche last season, managing eight appearances. The Shrimps have also moved to extend deals for youngsters Joe McGee, Joe Mwasile and Chris Doyle, who were all offered year-long extensions to their current contracts. Having handed all three players their first Football League starts last term, boss Jim Bentley was happy to offer his men the new deals. "All four lads have a lot of potential and I'm glad we have signed them because they will be important to us next year," the manager told the club's official website.
