Juventus have signed midfielder Tomas Rincon from Serie A rivals Genoa on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

The 28-year-old joins the Bianconeri for an initial €8m (£6.75m) and becomes the first Venezuelan to play for the club.

A statement on Juventus' official website read: "Juventus Football Club can today confirm that Tomas Rincon has completed a permanent switch from Genoa for a fee of €8m - a figure which could rise by €1m on reaching certain conditions within the contract."

Rincon, who has won 81 caps for Venezuela, joined Genoa on a free transfer from Hamburg in 2014 and made 78 Serie A appearances for the Rossoblu.
