Juventus president Andrea Agnelli is facing a possible ban over allegations of an illicit relationship with hard-core 'ultra' fans that encouraged ticket scalping.

At a hearing on Friday, the Italian football federation's prosecutor requested that Agnelli be banned for two and a half years.

The prosecutor, Giuseppe Pecoraro, also requested that Juventus pay a 300,000 euros fine and play two matches behind closed doors.

A federation panel has 10 days to decide on the punishment, and there is no room for appeals.

Agnelli allegedly authorised the sale of season passes and other tickets above the permitted limit.

He has acknowledged meeting with Rocco Dominello, an 'ultra' fan linked to the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta crime group who has since been sentenced to nearly eight years in prison for scalping.
