Juventus remain determined to keep Gianluigi Buffon and David Trezeguet next season.
Juventus remain determined to keep Gianluigi Buffon and David Trezeguet at the club next season.
Both players' futures at Stadio Delle Alpi are cloudy, with Buffon undecided about staying, while Trezeguet has one more season to run on his contract.
French striker Trezeguet has suggested he would be keen to sign a new deal, although Buffon is still weighing up his position.
Internazionale are favourites to sign the goalkeeper, but Juve president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli outlined his determination to convince the Italy international to stay.
"Buffon? We hope he will remain with us at any cost, but only if he's convinced to stay," Cobolli Gigli told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We want Buffon to find the right motivation to stay here and we are working to build a strong and competitive Juve."
Cobolli Gigli is also upbeat about the Bianconeri's chances of reaching an agreement for a new contract with Trezeguet.
He added: "There is a sporting director who must look after the club's interests in looking for big champions like Trezeguet, and there is Trezeguet, who tries to do his interests for the future.
"I think it will be possible to find an agreement with the player.
"Juve don't forget Trezeguet's value and everything he has given until now, and what he will give to the club."
