Roma and Sevilla progressed to the final 16 of the Uefa Cup along with Lille and Strasbourg.
Roma and Sevilla progressed to the final 16 of the Uefa Cup with relative ease along with Lille and Strasbourg, whilst Hertha Berlin and Heerenveen crashed out of Europe.
Luciano Spalletti's Giallorossi continued their sensational recent form as they matched their 2-1 win in the first leg to prevail 4-2 on aggregate over Club Brugge.
Brazilian star Mancini put the Serie A side in front at Stadio Olimpico after 55 minutes as he latched onto Leandro Cufre's pass and fired home.
The Belgians pulled one back just five minutes later as Gert Verheyen tapped in from close range, but Cesare Bovo restored Roma's lead on 71 minutes to set up a tie with Middlesbrough.
La Liga outfit Sevilla also made light work of their tie as a 2-0 home win over Lokomotiv Moscow gave them a 3-0 win on aggregate.
The Spaniards had done the hard work in Russia and Enzo Maresca gave them an unassailable advantage after 34 minutes, whilst Antonio Puerta waited until injury time to seal the win and a meeting with Lille.
Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin were dumped out of the Uefa Cup by Rapid Bucharest after a 2-0 defeat in Romania.
The German side were already up against it after losing 1-0 on home turf a week ago, and it is Rapid who progress to the last 16 where they will face another Bundesliga side in Hamburg.
The home side added to their first leg away goal with a strike from Daniel Niculae on 50 minutes, as the striker fired home after a pass from Marius Maldarasanu.
Hertha needed to score twice to claw themselves back into the tie, but it was the Romanians who continued to impress when Mugurel Buga put the tie beyond doubt with a headed effort, his seventh goal of the competition, after 79 minutes.
City rivals Steaua Bucharest also made the last 16 as their first leg advantage paid after a 1-0 home defeat to Heerenveen.
The Eredivise outfit had lost 3-1 in Holland, and despite an 85th minute effort from Arnold Bruggink they were unable to make amends and Steaua will now take on Real Betis.
Zenit St Petersburg built on their fine first leg performance as a 2-1 home win over Rosenborg gave them a 4-1 aggregate victory.
The Norwegians gave themselves some hope when former Celtic star Vidar Riseth headed in just before the break.
However in the second half Alexander Kerzhakov (55) slotted in unmarked before Igor Denisov (86) finished the scoring to set up a tie with Bolton's conquerors Marseille.
French outfit Lille secured a 0-0 draw away to Shakhtar Donetsk, meaning their 3-2 first leg advantage stood against the Ukrainian side.
Strasbourg matched their Ligue 1 rivals as a 0-0 draw at home to Litex Lovetch preserved their two goal lead from the game in Bulgaria - and they will now play Basel.
