Robert Lewandowski wrongly had a free-kick ruled out after officials felt the ball had not crossed the line during Poland's win over Kazakhstan.

With Poland 1-0 to the good and looking for the security of a second goal, Lewandowski curled a free-kick from 25 yards towards the top corner.

The goalkeeper got a hand to the powerful effort but couldn't keep the ball from spinning at least two yards over the line. The commentator declared "it's in" and the Poland players started celebrating the goal.

However, the referee and his assistants, who didn't have use of goal-line technology, decided that the ball hadn't crossed the line and the goal was ruled out. Thankfully for Lewandowski and Poland it didn't cost them as they scored two more goals to win 3-0.

Poland now have 19 points from eight games, three clear of second-placed Denmark.
