Sweden's players took their celebrations to the next level, after beating Italy to reach the World Cup, by trashing a pitch-side TV set

Sweden qualified for next year's World Cup by beating Italy in the play-offs and celebrated by destroying a pitch-side TV set.

The second-leg finished goalless at the San Siro, despite Italy dominating possession, meaning Sweden went through 1-0 on aggregate.

After securing their first World Cup appearance since 2006, the players took their celebrations to the next level by destroying a pitch-side TV set.

One technician attempted to keep the desk in one piece, but his efforts were in vain as players piled on top of it.

The result meant Italy will miss out on the World Cup finals for the first time in 60 years.
