Guinea are into the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after prevailing in the drawing of lots with Mali.
Guinea will face Ghana in the quarter-finals of the competition, despite not winning a single group game.
The 'lottery' meant Guinea finished second in Group D and will now face Ghana in the last eight on Sunday.
Amara Diabo, an official with Guinea's sports ministry, picked the winning ball out of a bowl at the start of an organising committee meeting at an hotel in Malabo.
Mali and Guinea had the same number of points and goal difference, after they drew 1-1 in their final group game in Mongomo.
The last time lots were drawn to decide a team's qualification in this tournament was in 1988 when Algeria qualified at the expense of the Ivory Coast.
