Tisdale happy to take point

Paul Tisdale was disappointed with Exeter's 1-1 home draw with Stevenage, but feels it could be a crucial point for his side.

The Grecians went in at the break 1-0 up after Richard Logan controlled David Noble's pass and poked the ball into the bottom corner, but Stevenage got the reward their dominance deserved when Scott Laird crossed to the back post and Robin Shroot volleyed in off both posts to earn his side a point. Tisdale said: "It was a tough game against good opponents. It feels disappointing as we were a goal up, but it is a point. We would have liked all three, but it wasn't the case. "We would rather take a point than none. We still have 12 games to go and we have to continue to make sure that we're in every game. That is what we've done since the turn of the year, we had a chance of winning, but we could have lost as well. We have to be competitive. "We have maybe lost a little bit of nerve with our passing, but that is human nature and I think that was evident after half-time. They really put it to us and it was hard for us, but I think the players realise how important every point is. We had something to hold on to and it's a difficult situation and I understand that. "I think we did ok. We weren't great, we started well and we came strong at the end. All in all, apart from the 20 minutes after half-time, I'm more than pleased with the performance."
