Tisdale chuffed with character

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale hailed the character his side showed as they fought back to beat Wycombe 3-2.

Gareth Ainsworth and Dean Morgan twice put Wycombe ahead but Arron Davies and Jamie Cureton dragged Exeter level. And the Grecians finally got their noses in front and held on for the three points when captain Danny Coles backheeled the winner midway through the second half. He said: "The players were really pleased with themselves when they came in at full-time with the character they showed and so they should be. We certainly didn't let our spirit drop. "We started the game with an intensity and we carried it on for the whole game, even in the last 20 minutes. "It was a good all-round performance and possibly our best of the season so far."
