UEFA's newest member largely calls on players from its own domestic league, but coach Allen Bula has been keen to pursue players with Gibraltarian links.
The likes of Danny Higginbotham and Scott Wiseman have been added to their ranks, and now 20-year-old Oxford-born Gosling is the latest British-based professional to get the call-up from the ambitious Mediterranean outpost.
Now Gosling, who has just returned to Exeter after a loan spell with Gloucester City, is in line to make his international debut later this month.
"It's a really exciting time for Gibraltar football and, hopefully, I can play a big part in that, but we will have to wait and see," Gosling told the Western Morning News.
"Can you imagine: Gosling v [Germany's Phillip] Lahm? I'd love to do that and, as I say, it would be a great opportunity and a great experience and if I do come up against him. We will see what I can do!"
Goalkeeper Louie Barnfather Marfe, of non-league Evesham, has also been called up - but just for the match with Malta.
Gibraltar, who played their first-ever international last November when they drew with Slovakia, will kick off their qualifying campaign for Euro 2016 later this year having been draw in Group D with Germany, Poland, Georgia, Republic of Ireland and Scotland.
