Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth praised his side's patience as they bagged a late winner in the FA Cup to see off Hendon.
Shots striker Hylton was on hand to tap home Craig Reid's pull-back in the 85th minute and break the visitors' hearts with a 2-1 triumph. The Greens, 67 places below their hosts in the football pyramid prior to kick-off, took the lead when former Northampton trainee Dean Cracknell fired an unstoppable 30-yard volley into the top corner. But Hylton headed home an equaliser before his last-gasp effort sent the Ryman Premier League side crashing out in the first round. "We said at half-time we'd have to be patient," said Holdsworth. "It's a typical situation, they scored an absolutely fantastic goal. "You have to be patient, but once we opened them up and got the first one, I thought we were always going to go on and win the game. It's a fantastic strike and it's put us on the back foot. We had to be very professional and do all the right things. It's about keeping that belief, showing some character. That's three games undefeated now. "When you see some of the other results there are a few shocks, and we didn't want to be one of them. But overall we created enough chances to win two or three games."
