Espanyol keeper would like to test himself in English top-flight

Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni would relish the opportunity to play in the Premier League. The shot-stopper's contract with Espanyol runs out at the end of the current season and he has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham, as well as Fulham and Newcastle. He admits he would like to test himself in the English top flight after impressive displays in La Liga. Speaking exclusively to skysports.com, Kameni said: "I am very well at the moment. To be linked with the Premier League is good, although I am just concentrating on playing here for Espanyol.

No problem

"I almost joined Wolves in the 2003/2004 season but I could not get a work permit, although nowadays it will be no problem. "To play in the Premier League will be fantastic for me and my career. I have tested myself in La Liga. The Premier League has got good strikers I want to face as well and show that I am a good keeper." Kameni added that he would love for Cameroon to reach the World Cup finals in South Africa next summer and challenge for honours.
