Twente have announced the Bosman free transfer signing of Edson Braafheid.The 23-year-old left-back has agreed terms on a contract and will make the move from Utrecht in the summer.
Braafheid had opted to let his deal with Utrecht wind down, with the defender claiming he wanted to embark on a fresh challenge.
Belgian side Anderlecht tabled an offer for his services, but he opted to put his name to a three-year deal with Twente.
Braafheid was part of the Dutch Under 21 squad which claimed glory at the European Championship in Portugal.
