FC Basel defender David Abraham is talking to German side Hamburg over a possible summer switch, according to the player's agent.
Abraham, 25, could move to the Bundesliga on a Bosman transfer, having been unable to agree a new deal with the Swiss champions.
The Argentine, who joined Basel from Spanish outfit Tarragon in July 2008, has been instrumental in their recent successes, but it looks increasingly likely he wants to seek a fresh challenge.
And Hamburg head coach Thorsten Fink knows all about Abraham's qualities having worked with him during his previous spell as Basel boss.
"We have had a good round of talks with Hamburg," Abraham's agent Renato Cedrola told German newspaper Bild.
"We are in talks with several clubs, but Hamburg are a good club. We have yet to make a decision."
He added: "Of course it is a big bonus both [Abraham and Fink] have already worked successfully with each other in the past."
