United are now 15 points adrift of league leaders Arsenal and out of both the FA and Capital One Cup.
Dunn told The Sunday Supplement: "He can't have anticipated so many players' form dropping off a cliff.
"He's had no real positive impact from his full-backs this season really and that's just one example. He has problems in the centre of midfield as well.
"It was strange after the game yesterday and the reality of the game was that Manchester United weren't good enough to beat Stoke.
"You look at some of those players and the more David Moyes reiterates - and he's right - that there needs to be a major reconstruction at the club in terms of playing staff, then the more those players there start thinking; 'we're on borrowed time here', and that's going to affect you."
