Did your Premier League team live up to expectations on Tuesday night?

We asked former West Ham and Everton striker Tony Cottee and ex-Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn to grade each of the sixteen top flight sides in action on Tuesday night.

So how did your team fare? Did they get an 'A' or an 'F', or somewhere in between? Read on to see how each top-flight side has been ranked...

Tuesday's Premier League results

  • Arsenal 0-0 Southampton
  • Leicester 2-0 Liverpool
  • Norwich 0-3 Tottenham
  • Sunderland 0-1 Man City
  • West Ham 2-0 Aston Villa
  • Crystal Palace 1-2 Bournemouth
  • Man Utd 3-0 Stoke
  • West Brom 1-1 Swansea

Arsenal - C+

Winterburn: I think they needed to win the game last night. The first half wasn't great, the second half was a lot more adventurous and they could have quite easily won the game in the end. But, when you're playing at home, you're expected to win.

Southampton - B

Fraser Forster denies Mesut Ozil in the first half with a point-blank save

NW: Southampton were very good in the first half and created one or two chances. Then they have Fraser Forster who is a goalkeeper of fantastic quality and he probably made seven or eight really strong saves but as we keep saying that's what top goalkeepers are there to do.

Leicester - A

Cottee: If they'd have won 3-0 or 4-0 then I might have given them an A*. Incredible performances from them all season and two fantastic goals from Jamie Vardy, particularly the first goal - a contender for goal of the season. They kept a clean sheet and beat historically one of the top sides in the country in what could easily have been a banana skin fixture. A fantastic performance.

Liverpool - C

TC: It was a difficult night for Liverpool, they're finding their way under Jurgen Klopp, they're not quite at the races but I'm sure they'll improve next season. I think they had a couple of chances, I'll go for a C for Liverpool.

Norwich - D

NW: Another disappointing performance from them in terms of goals conceded. They've made some signings and they are going to have to fit in very, very quickly but Alex Neil is going to have to find the solution to scoring goals without conceding too many or they are going to find themselves very quickly in the bottom three.

Tottenham - A

NW: The same as all season really, Tottenham looked very composed and very solid. Defensively they look very, very sound and in attack they've got two players in Dele Alli and Harry Kane who are scoring goals.

Sunderland - C+

NW: Very disappointing to go a goal down early, there were a couple of new signings coming into the squad and again they're going to have to fit in very quickly. Sunderland have had some positive results and Sam Allardyce will work them and make them very disciplined. I'll go C+ because even though you're playing one of the top teams, I think at this stage of the season you need to be looking to pick up at least a point.

Manchester City - B+

NW: I still think there is more to come from them which is maybe worrying for the other teams up at the top of the league. Although they wavered a bit, they had Joe Hart in great form.

West Ham - B

TC: A fantastic result but, particularly in the first half, they didn't play especially well. Obviously there was the sending off that changed the game and made it difficult for Aston Villa but it was one of those nights where you're playing the bottom team and it's just about getting the three points. Not an outstanding performance but a great result and three points.

Aston Villa - D

TC: They played really well in the first 15 minutes but then, of course, the sending off happened. Jordan Ayew was a silly boy and will be punished, a three-game suspension, and he didn't do his team any favours. But having said that, after the first 15 minutes I thought it was a poor performance from Villa, they didn't get out of their own half. I know it's difficult with 10 men but I can't give them any more than a D because they never looked like getting more than a point out of the match.

Crystal Palace - C-

TC: They're suffering at the moment, I think that's five [defeats] on the spin. It's not good for them at the moment and they still haven't really solved their goalscoring problem, as Scott Dann got their goal last night. They need to get out of this poor run of form and start picking up some points. I'm pretty certain they'll be all right come the end of the season, but they need to start getting results and improving their performances.

Benik Afobe celebrates scoring Bournemouth's winner against Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth - B

TC: They always surprise you, they play great football and they've got a very good young manager. It's a great result and Benik Afobe, another goal for him. A really good performance from Bournemouth and they deserve nothing but praise this season.

Manchester United - B+

NW: It was a lot better from them. The signs that I really liked from them were at times when they had the ball deep, they broke a lot quicker, they moved the ball a lot quicker. They had players several times running at the Stoke defence and trying to go beyond. At times when it gets slow for Man Utd is when they play in front of the defence.

Stoke - D

NW: Very disappointing. That's their second 3-0 loss [in their last two league games], they've got some talented players at the football club but they have to learn to get the attacking and defensive balance right. Significant as well that Ryan Shawcross is out of the team and they're starting to concede goals again. They've got to sort that out or we might see Stoke re-evaluating where they can finish again because they had a good run of form and Mark Hughes spoke about re-evaluating where they could finish, but now they might be changing it back to what they thought before. I expected a lot more from them against Manchester United.

West Brom - C

Salomon Rondon celebrates scoring West Brom's equaliser
Image: Salomon Rondon netted a stoppage time equaliser for West Brom

TC: As the home team I think the onus was on them to get the three points. It's still slightly disappointing from my point of view to see [Saido] Berahino on the bench, I'd have liked to have seen him start. From both teams' point of view they really need to start turning the draws into wins.

Swansea - B

TC: I think that's a decent point for them. They're probably at the stage where they need to get a few victories under their belt but they pretty much did everything right and they were leading until late in the game, I still think they'll see it as a point gained. It's never an easy place to go to West Brom.
