Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford says he is more than willing to play for England at the European U21 Championships this summer.

The 19-year-old has earned seven senior caps for the national side, and travelled with the squad to France for their disappointing Euro 2016 campaign.

Rashford has scored seven goals for Manchester United in all competitions this season, but conceded that tournament football with Aidy Boothroyd's U21 side in Poland this summer could be invaluable experience.

"It is up to the coaching staff and the managers to decide if I go to that," said Rashford.

"But if I do go, I'll be approaching it with the same attitude as I do to the seniors. It is exciting times.

"Getting tournament experience is massive, as long as everything is aiming towards the long-term objective.

"We obviously want to be successful and win trophies.

"So whatever we have to do to get to that, whether it is going down to gain the experience, everyone is happy to do it."

Rashford exploded onto the scene last season when he scored twice on both his United and Premier League debuts.

In February 2016, Rashford was a late addition to the United starting line-up for their Europa League round-of-32 second-leg tie against Midtjylland, registering two goals in the second half of his first-team debut.

Three days later, Rashford made his Premier League debut against Arsenal at Old Trafford where he again scored twice as the Red Devils won 3-2.

"I'm a completely different player now compared to where I was this time last season," Rashford added.

"All my focus is just on trying to improve for the future and to make history for my club and the country.

"I am quite hard on myself, but people around me are always pushing me. I think it is needed if you want to be the best.

"People don't always look at that. They look at the results but they don't look at what you do to get the results.

"When it all comes together people will start to realise."
