Algeria must attack

Faouzi Chaouchi is downcast.

Both goalkeepers could be dropped for the England v Algeria game so Jon Green expects both sides to attack.

Can the Desert Foxes frustrate Fab's men?

The Algerians should head into Friday's crunch match against Fabio Capello's men without any pressure. After all, as always it's England that expects and if we're (England!) not leading at the break then it'll be a major disaster! The defeat at the hands of Slovenia in the opening game was obviously the worst possible outcome for the Desert Foxes. If you thought Robert Green's schoolboy error against USA was bad then Algeria stopper Faouzi Chaouchi's howler in gifting the Slovenians victory was just as shocking and probably more costly. Apparently Chaouchi could well be dropped for the game due to the error. Are you listening Fabio?
Frustrate
There's no doubt that England are clear favourites man for man but Algeria will try and frustrate Don Fabio's boys. If England don't grab an early advantage then the pressure will no doubt pile on them. They may find the Algerians hard to break down at the back lead by the inspirational Madjid Bougherra. The general feeling though is even a point will probably not be good enough for them to get through the group so they will have to attack at some point! One thing's for sure, if Green and Chaouchi are both between the sticks then I'm sure both sides will be encouraged to shoot from distance. Let's just hope we're talking about the quality of football after the game and not the standard of 'dodgy keepers' again!
