Christian Eriksen had a moment to forget as Armenia's Arsen Beglaryan made an impressive double save to keep Denmark at bay

Christian Eriksen had his penalty for Denmark saved in spectacular fashion by Armenia goalkeeper Arsen Beglaryan.

The Tottenham midfielder was featuring for his country in their World Cup 2018 qualifier in Copenhagen, with the spot kick awarded in the 71st minute.

Viktor Fischer was fouled in the area, and as his country's designated penalty taker, it was up to Eriksen to add to their 1-0 scoreline.

However, Armenia stopper Beglaryan guessed the right way, leaping to his right-hand side to keep his Premier League opponent at bay.

Youssef Poulsen was on hand to try and head home the rebound but the goalkeeper was there again to tip the ball over the bar much to the dismay of the home crowd.

But it wasn't all doom and gloom for the Dans or Eriksen as he had earlier given his side the lead, scoring the only goal of the game in the 17th minute.
