Left-back picks up hamstring injury

Emilio Izaguirre could miss the start of pre-season training with Celtic after being forced to withdraw from the Honduras squad. The 25-year-old left-back, who enjoyed a terrific first season in Glasgow, had been due to link up with his country for the Concacaf Gold Cup. However, he is now set to miss the tournament in USA due to a hamstring injury and Celtic will hope he regains fitness quickly. Izaguirre did have to pull out of an international match against Ecuador in February with a similar complaint. He was then injured by a tackle from Celtic team-mate Ki Sung-yong when Honduras met South Korea a month later. Having qualified for last summer's World Cup, Honduras will be confident of performing well at the Gold Cup, where they have been drawn against Guatemala, Grenada and Jamaica in the group phase.
