Nooij looking to lead Mozambique to success
Mozambique is perhaps most famous for being the birth place of Portugal star Eusebio but they will be determined to change that in Angola.
Mozambique won their affiliation to FIFA in 1980 but have never managed to qualify for a World Cup.
Their record on the continent is slightly better with three appearances at the Africa Cup of Nations. Although despite maknig consecutive AFCON appearances in the mid-to-late 1990s, until recently, they failed to construct a squad capable of consistently competing on the continent.
Mart Nooij has been in charge of the Mozambican national team since early 2007 and oversaw the qualification campaign for CAN 2010. The Dutchman's side reached the third round of qualifying by finishing second in a group that also contained Ivory Coast.
In the final round, Mozambique finished third in Group B thanks to an unbeaten home record. The Mambas notched up wins over Tunisia and Kenya and drew with Nigeria to book their spot in Angola.
One to watch: Dario Monteiro
The SuperSport United striker is the most capped player in the country's history and has scored more goals than any other Mozambican. The 32-year-old is a veteran of the 1998 AFCON and scored the winner in Mozambique's 1-0 home win over Tunisia - a goal that assured the Mambas of a place in Angola.

The European boss has enjoyed a fruitful spell in the Mozambican hotseat having previously held the head coaching position with Burkina Faso.
While Mozambique have much to thank Nooij for, his success with the Mambas has come at a price as African super power Nigeria are rumoured to be keen on his services.
