Stephen Hunt has fuelled the rumours of dressing room unrest at Wolves by admitting life at the relegation strugglers "can be difficult".
The Republic of Ireland international compared the situation at Molineux to that of a work environment where people do not get on with their colleagues.
The comments come in the wake of an angry on-pitch spat between captain Roger Johnson and keeper Wayne Hennessey during last Saturday's 3-2 defeat against Bolton.
The result saw Wolves seemingly cut adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table - with Johnson's appointment as captain perceived as a trigger for the disintegration of team morale.
And Hunt, who will be out for several weeks after a hernia operation on Thursday, confessed things could be problematic at the club in an interview in his native Ireland.
Hunt said: "Sometimes at Wolves it's day-in, day-out and it can be difficult.
"People go to work not getting on with their work-mates - you have your arguments, and that's the way it is.
"With Ireland, because we don't see each other as much as in club football, it can be a lot easier to get on for a week to 10 days.
Pulling together
"Last year, we all pulled the same way; this year, it's important we do the same.
"We need to stick together as a team, and not be separated by anyone.
"If you start having splits in the camp now and if people pull in opposite directions, it's going to cause problems."
Hunt also suggested training has improved in recent weeks under Terry Connor - even if the results have not been apparent on the pitch.
"You don't flog a horse - you don't race him every day," he added. "We may have trained too hard, that's my personal view.
"That's been addressed. Training has been a lot better. There are no complaints about the way we've trained for the last few games, but we've still lost. We've got to look in the mirror and blame ourselves."
Hunt also believes Wolves have missed Karl Henry, who has played the full 90 minutes just once in the last 10 games due to injury and suspension.
"Leadership is vital and we've missed Karl," added Hunt.
