Sky Sports will have every angle of Friday's draw for the European Championship covered from 4.30pm.

England and Republic of Ireland will learn their European Championship fate on Friday evening at 5pm and Sky Sports will be there to cover the draw live from Kiev every step of the way. Coverage from the Ukrainian capital will start at 4.30pm on Sky Sports News HD, as it will on skysports.com. We'll bring you the draw live as it happens before providing comprehensive reaction and analysis once the groups have been finalised. Julian Warren will be joined in the studio by guests including former England manager Glenn Hoddle and ex Republic boss Brian Kerr for expert analysis. Alan Smith and Phil Babb will also be here to give their views. The 16 nations who have qualified for Poland and Ukraine will be drawn in four groups with four teams in each (Groups A to D). Hosts Poland and Ukraine are the top seeds, along with reigning champions Spain and the Netherlands. Poland will automatically be placed in Group A, while Ukraine will be in Group D. The other 14 qualifiers have been placed in the pots below: Pot 1: Spain, Netherlands Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England, Russia Pot 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden Pot 4: Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland UEFA has confirmed: "The draw will start with Pot 1 in order to fill position one in Groups B and C. The draw will continue with Pot 4, from which a team will be allocated to each group consecutively, from Group A to Group D. This procedure will then be repeated for Pot 3 and finally for Pot 2. The position of each team within its group (2, 3 or 4) will also be determined during the draw."

* None of the last six tournaments has been won by the host nation. Only one host nation in these tournaments has reached the final (Portugal, 2004). * Germany hold the record for most tournament wins (3, includes wins as West Germany). * Germany have also appeared in the most tournaments (10, including five as West Germany). * England have played in the most tournaments without managing to win (seven). * Scotland are the only other side from the UK & Ireland to have played in more than one tournament (1992 and 1996), while the Republic of Ireland competed in 1988. * Michel Platini holds the record for most goals in European Championship (nine) followed by Alan Shearer (seven). * Greece are the only side to have won the tournament with a foreign coach (with Germany's Otto Rehhagel in 2004). * England have failed to make it out of the group stages in four of the last six tournaments in which they have participated. * England have lost more games (nine) than they have won (seven) in European Championship finals (seven draws). * The Netherlands have the highest win percentage in European Championship matches (53%) but have won the tournament only once (1988).
