Goalkeeper Wayne Brown has rejected talk he is set to assume a coaching role at Tottenham or that he is joining League Two Shrewsbury Town.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper is on the lookout for a new club following a year in the South African Premier League with Supersport United, who have close links with Spurs.
The former Hereford and Bury man is now back in England with his family and he is looking forward to a well-earned break.
Brown has been tipped to rejoin his old boss Graham Turner at Shrewsbury, but he insists it is too early to say where he will be continuing his career next season.
There have been discussions over a possible move to Italy, although nothing has been finalised.
"I've had a great experience playing and coaching in South Africa," he told skysports.com.
"When the opportunity came up last year I couldn't turn it down. While I thoroughly enjoyed it, it has been difficult for my family and I, and I felt I needed to be closer to home.
"I'm not sure anyone knows I am available - until your interview obviously!
"I have had initial discussions with clubs in Italy but we will see what happens. I am just going to enjoy my holiday and spend time with my family.
"I can understand why people might link me with Shrewsbury as I had a reasonably successful period working with Graham Turner and getting promoted to League One at Hereford.
"I was nearly part of it with Bury as well but we just lost out in the semis to Shrewsbury and I am absolutely thrilled for all at the club that they have done it this year.
"However, there has been no contact with any club yet. I've only been back two days and am looking forward to spending time with my family first and foremost."
