Hylton back with Millers

On-loan Bury striker Danny Hylton is heading back to Rotherham for treatment on a groin injury.

The 24-year-old former Aldershot man has been on loan at Gigg Lane since October and has scored two goals in nine games. But he has picked up a groin problem which could require surgery and would mean a premature end to his loan spell, which was due to end in January. "Danny has done his groin and is going to go back to Rotherham to get an assessment and possibly some surgery," Shakers boss David Flitcroft said after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bury. "I'm gutted to not have Danny as a part of what I do because from what I've seen in the training he has done in the last two or three days I like what he's about." Hylton joined the Millers in the summer but only made two appearances before boss Steve Evans allowed him to join the Shakers, where he was soon followed by fellow striker Daniel Nardiello.
