Henly extends U's stay

Oxford United have extended goalkeeper Jonathan Henly's loan stay at the club by a further month.

The Reading stopper, 19, arrived at the Kassam Stadium in mid-January but is yet to make a first-team appearance, providing cover on the bench for first-choice 'keeper Ryan Clarke on seven occasions. Henly's extended stay comes as the U's are currently without fellow goalkeepers Max Crocombe and Wayne Brown due to respective shoulder and ankle injuries. Caretaker boss Mickey Lewis told the club's official website: "Jon has done really well in training and shown what he can do. He fits in well with the lads, has a great attitude and it is important to have cover. "Clarkey is in excellent form at the moment so Jon understands the situation and we are pleased to have extended the loan for another month."
