The Portuguese winger moved to Broadhall Way from Oldham on a three-year deal in the summer of 2012 but is now on the hunt for fresh employers following his departure from Graham Westley's side.
Morais scored eight goals in 35 appearances for Stevenage this season, with his last match for the club coming against Colchester on April 12, when he was dismissed in the final minute of a 3-2 home defeat.
Stevenage will be playing in Sky Bet League 2 next season after finishing bottom of the table with 42 points from their 46 matches.
A statement from Morais' agents, Tony Asghar and Jonathan Hope, read: "We have resolved this and are now looking to present the player with options.
"We would like to thank Stevenage for their co-operation."
