Scot Bennett has left Notts County after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.
The defender, who can also play in midfield, signed for the Magpies from Exeter in May 2015 and made seven league appearances for the club.
He also spent time on loan at Newport and York last season.
Bennett leaves the Sky Bet League Two club six days after the arrival of new manager John Sheridan.
Announcing the news, a statement on County's website reads: "Everyone at Notts County would like to thank Scot for his services to the club, and wish him all the very best in the future."
