This summer's transfer window has seen a host of European talent move to the Premier League, and plenty of them will be in action for their countries during the latest round of Euro 2016 qualifiers.

We're heading towards the business end of the qualifying stage as several nations battle to become one of the 23 teams to join hosts France in next summer's tournament.

With 48 matches available to watch on Sky Sports over the international break, we look at a few of the new Premier League arrivals who will have roles to play…

Georginio Wijnaldum & Memphis Depay

It's a key week for the Netherlands, who lie third in Group A after six games, three points behind the Czech Republic and a further two behind group leaders Iceland.

With only two teams qualifying for next summer's tournament automatically, Danny Blind faces a crucial clash at home to Iceland in his first game in charge on Thursday night, before they travel to Turkey on Sunday.

Georginio Wijnaldum scored on his Newcastle debut in the 2-2 draw with Southampton, but the summer arrival from PSV hasn't yet been able to help Steve McClaren's men register their first win of the season.

Wijnaldum came off the bench to score in the 2-0 win over Latvia in June, and Blind may turn to the 24-year-old for some inspiration in these two key games, although another Premier League arrival - Manchester United's Memphis Depay - could be an option.

Memphis has yet to score in the Premier League for Louis van Gaal's men, but he was in superb form against Club Brugge at Old Trafford, netting twice in a devastating display as they won 3-1 on their way to an aggregate victory.

The winger has made an instant impact on his arrival at Chelsea, scoring one and setting up another in the 3-1 win at West Brom, before registering another assist for Radamel Falcao's goal in the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Reigning European champions Spain have done enough in qualifying so far, winning five out of six to sit second in Group C.

They face leaders Slovakia on Saturday as they look to avenge their 2-1 defeat last October, before they take on Macedonia in Skopje on Tuesday night. Pedro is likely to feature, with Vicente del Bosque favouring a front three which could comprise his Chelsea team-mate Diego Costa.

Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City forked out the biggest single fee of the summer when they landed Kevin De Bruyne for £54.5m, making him the second-most expensive Premier League player in history.

After an unsuccessful spell at Chelsea he excelled at Wolfsburg, and has played every minute of Belgium's Euro 2016 qualifying campaign so far.

Next up is a clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday night before a trip to Cyprus on Tuesday as they look to keep the pressure on Group B leaders Wales.

De Bruyne's captain for club and country, Vincent Kompany, has described the midfielder as "phenomenal", and the 24-year-old will be looking to show the world he is worth every penny City have spent.

Bastian Schweinsteiger

It's not been plain sailing for the world champions in qualifying so far. They battled to victory over Scotland and were held at home by the Republic of Ireland, and Schweinsteiger has now described their next two matches as "must-win" games.

They host Group D leaders Poland on Friday before travelling to Glasgow to face Scotland on Monday night, and defeat in either could massively harm their automatic qualification hopes.

It's been a solid but unspectacular start to Schweinsteiger's Manchester United career - he's started the last two Premier League matches and is still finding his feet in the English top-flight, but a return to familiar territory with the national team could bring out the best from the 31-year-old.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Mark Hughes is building Stoke into a club which can attract some top players, and Xherdan Shaqiri's arrival was a real statement of intent from the Potters.

Switzerland lie six points behind England in Group E but are in pole position to take the second qualifying berth as it stands.

Their trip to Wembley to face Roy Hodgson's men on Tuesday night is preceded by a crucial clash with Slovenia, who are currently the Swiss' closest challengers.

Shaqiri has thoroughly impressed in his first two appearances for Stoke and, with four goals in qualifying so far, Switzerland will be hoping he can maintain that form in the international break.

Switzerland's game with Slovenia on Saturday is live on the Red Button on Sky Sports 5 from 19:45
