PSG still hopeful of luring ex-England captain to France

Paris St Germain chief Leonardo admits he does not know whether former England captain David Beckham will join the French giants. The mega-rich Ligue 1 leaders have targeted 36-year-old Beckham as they look to establish themselves as a dominant European force following their recent Qatari takeover. Reports suggesting Beckham had struck a deal with the Parisians after his five-year deal with MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy ended have been denied by the midfielder's representatives. And it was confirmed by PSG sporting director Leonardo as he unveiled ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti, Beckham's former boss at AC Milan, as the Parc des Prince club's new manager. "We never said it was done," Leonardo said. "We have a good relationship but I don't know what he is going to do. "There is always the question of his personal life. "He is in Los Angeles. Nothing is signed."
