Deal for Luton striker off after failure to agree personal terms

Leeds United have pulled the plug on a deal to sign Dean Morgan from Luton Town. The Hatters' administrators had accepted an offer from Leeds for the forward, who has been on loan at Southend United. Speaking after scoring twice in his final game for Southend against Dagenham in the FA Cup on Saturday, Morgan revealed a switch to Elland Road was 'a massive opportunity'. But Leeds have confirmed that the transfer has now fallen through after failing to agree personal terms with the 24-year-old. "The club have withdrawn the offer for Dean Morgan, which was accepted by the administrators of Luton Town, having been unable to agree acceptable personal terms with the player's representatives," read a statement on the club's official website. Meanwhile, midfielder Neil Kilkenny, who joined on an emergency loan before the weekend, has now signed a three-and-a-half year contract to finalise his switch from Birmingham City. Whites boss Dennis Wise is also hoping to complete the capture of midfielder Peter Sweeney from Stoke City later this week.
