Lack of playing time sees defender return to West Brom

West Bromwich Albion have cut short James Hurst's loan deal at Blackpool due to the teenage defender's lack of playing time. The England Under 20 international joined Blackpool on a season-long arrangement before the close of the summer transfer window. However, he has made just two substitute appearances in the Championship for the Seasiders and has now been summoned back to West Brom. Blackpool boss Ian Holloway confirmed that the Premier League club did not want the right-back to stay at Bloomfield Road if he was not going to be playing regularly. "They weren't going to let me have him and not use him, so they called him back," said Holloway in the Blackpool Gazette. "I couldn't do anything about that."
