Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool have "unfinished business" in the EFL Cup this season after they reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
The Reds beat Tottenham 2-1 at Anfield on Tuesday before being handed a home tie with Leeds in Wednesday night's draw.
Klopp watched as his side lost to Manchester City on penalties in the final last season but admits Liverpool need to focus on Premier League matters before their meeting with the Elland Road side in November.
"There was unfinished business before we started the tournament again," Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.
"It's not only unfinished business because we lost in the final - you can't say that just because you were in the final last year then it's your logical role to be the next winner. We have to do a lot for it.
"We have different jobs to do - we need to be ready for the next Premier League game. And we need to keep one eye on the situation of the players [with injuries]. So we need to stay awake, we need to stay on track, and then a lot of things could be possible for us.
"Now it's the quarter-final. We don't dream, but we'll be ready again in November."
