Midfielder agrees two-year deal with League One new boys

Wycombe have started to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season with the signing of Lewis Montrose. The midfielder, released by Wigan at the end of the 2008/9 campaign, has agreed a two-year deal with the newly-promoted League One club. He becomes Peter Taylor's first new recruit of the summer and will officially join on 1st July. Taylor first became aware of the 20-year-old when he was on loan at Chesterfield last term and he is delighted to have brought him in. "I've kept tabs on Lewis ever since we played against Chesterfield. I've also spoken to a few people I know at Wigan and that's why I have followed up my interest," Taylor told the club's official website. "I'm delighted to sign a young player and I hope that with some games and experience he will kick on."
