League One round-up: Scunthorpe stay top with Sheffield United draw

Scunthorpe held onto top spot in Sky Bet League One after being held to a 2-2 draw against 10-man Sheffield United on Saturday.

Chris Basham gave the visitors the lead but Scunthorpe levelled through Josh Morris' eighth strike of the season. Basham was sent off with 21 minutes left before Duane Holmes put the hosts in front.

But Billy Sharp rescued a point for United when he converted an 85th-minute penalty.

Bury moved into the automatic promotion places thanks to Tom Pope's late winner in a 2-1 win over Chesterfield.

Zeli Ismail had given Bury the lead with his first league goal of the campaign before Kristian Dennis hit back just before the break for Chesterfield, but Pope popped up to head home Tom Walker's deep cross to snatch victory.

Northampton moved up to fifth following a comfortable 4-0 success against 10-man Southend.

John-Joe O'Toole opened the scoring with his first league goal of the season in the 46th minute and Alex Revell doubled the lead five minutes later from the penalty spot after Jason Demetriou received a straight red for bringing down Paul Anderson.

Ian Henderson scored a stoppage-time penalty to help Rochdale complete a 3-2 comeback win and leave Millwall without a win in three matches.

Callum Camps put Rochdale in front early in the first half but an Aidan O'Brien strike and Lee Gregory penalty gave Millwall the lead at the break. Calvin Andrew levelled for the visitors before Ben Thompson saw red for two bookable
offences.

Ryan Colclough scored a hat-trick to help MK Dons on their way to a 4-1 victory at Fleetwood.

Colclough opened the scoring in the ninth minute to give the visitors a half-time lead. Dean Bowditch doubled their advantage from the spot before Colclough scored twice, once from the spot, goals which were sandwiched by a
Bobby Grant consolation.

Highlights of MK Dons' 4-1 win at Fleetwood

Port Vale remain in the play-off places despite a 2-1 loss to Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Ground.

Martin Paterson broke the deadlock on 23 minutes but Ellis Harrison equalised for Rovers on the stroke of half-time. Jermaine Easter put the hosts in front in the 63rd minute for the first time from the penalty spot after Remi Streete
brought down Byron Moore.

Gillingham came from behind to beat Coventry by the same scoreline and leave the bottom club winless in the league.

Kyel Reid put Coventry ahead on 21 minutes before Gills hit back five minutes later through Max Ehmer to level at the break. But Billy Knott scored the winner 18 minutes from time to give Gills the win.

Lyle Taylor opened the scoring in the sixth minute to give the Dons the lead but Ian Black levelled shortly after the break. On-loan Newcastle striker Ivan Toney was sent off with eight minutes left for two bookable offences.

Oxford recovered to draw 1-1 with Charlton. Johnnie Jackson opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 54th minute but Chris Maguire levelled for Oxford 13 minutes later.

Harry Lennon was sent off in stoppage time for Charlton.
