Notts County manager Martin Allen was happy to take a point from what he felt was a below-par performance from his side at Bury.
Jeff Hughes twice stepped up to equalise from the penalty spot and clinch a 2-2 draw for the visitors after Andy Bishop and then Giles Coke had given the Shakers the lead. "I thought it was an amazing game," Allen said. "We weren't anywhere near our best, nowhere near, and for those players to come back like that in the second half and perform like they did was great. "All over the park they were just a yard short and then the substitutes that came on changed the game. I didn't really enjoy watching us play because we didn't play the way we like to play. We're not always going to play well and on those nights you've got to dig deep to find something extra. "I wasn't very happy at half-time and I asked for more - the basics of winning headers, winning knock-downs and quicker, sharper passing. "We were too slow moving around the pitch but in the second half, we picked it up, changed our formation and changed our style."
