Eredivisie round-up: PSV go top after beating De Graafschap

PSV Eindhoven climbed to the top of the Eredivisie with a 4-2 victory over De Graafschap on Saturday.

Luuk De Jong, Davy Proepper and Luciano Narsingh gave PSV a three-goal lead at half-time, although Jurgen Locadia missed a penalty for the home side, before De Graafschap pulled two back after the break through Ted van de Pavert and Bart Straalman.

But Gaston Pereiro scored late on to secure the result that sent PSV two points clear of Ajax, who travel to Roda JC Kerkrade on Sunday.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Groningen won 3-1 at PEC Zwolle thanks to goals from Alexander Soerloth, Michael de Leeuw and Danny Hoesen, while Thomas Lam scored for the home side.

AZ Alkmaar moved up to eighth with a 3-0 win at NEC Nijmegen, thanks to goals from Markus Henriksen, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Levi Garcia.

Vitesse played out a goalless draw with Excelsior, while on Friday night Willem II and Heracles played out a goalless draw.
